WWU Youth Programs will hold its inaugural Girls in Engineering, Math and Science (GEMS) Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, in Academic Instructional Center West on Western Washington University's Bellingham campus.

This free event will feature the following activities:

  • Demos by Western's Chemistry Club, Astronaut Wendy Lawrence, and Western's Women in Physics Club
  • Silent auction to support young ladies attending Western's summer youth programs
  • Tables with information and activities from WWU clubs and local Bellingham organizations
  • Prizes

Due to Western's Child on Campus Policy, families are asked to pre-register to quicken the check-in process. Parental supervision is required at the fair. Free parking is available in the gravel parking lots in front of Fairhaven College.
