GEF Program now accepting summer ideas

Are you looking to make the campus greener, more sustainable and/or more energy efficient? For the first time ever, Western Washington University’s students, faculty and staff are invited to submit proposals during the summer for the Summer 2014 Green Energy Fee Grant Program. This summer, the campus community can apply for a small grant between $500 and $5,000.

There are two opportunities to submit a Summer Small Grant Application, with the first proposal due date being Aug. 13 and the second being Sept. 10. Read through the small grant proposal tookit and find the GEF Summer Small Grant Application on the grant program’s website. More application due dates are scheduled for the upcoming academic year and are also posted on the website. A list of previous small- and large-grant awardees also is online.

The Green Energy Fee Grant Program exists to promote experiential learning opportunities and sustainable practices at Western Washington University. The GEF is funded by Western students, managed by the Office of Sustainability, and grants are chosen by the Green Energy Fee Committee, composed of students, staff and faculty representatives.
