Flags to be lowered Jan. 5 in honor of Army specialist

Gov. Chris Gregoire has directed that flags at all Washington state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff Thursday, Jan. 5, in memory of U. S. Army Specialist Mikayla A. Bragg, 21, of Longview, who died in the line of duty Dec. 21 in Afghanistan.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business Thursday or first thing Friday morning, Jan. 6.

Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
