Flags to be at half-staff March 1 in memory of State Patrol trooper

Gov. Chris Gregoire has directed flags at all Washington state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff Thursday, March 1, in memory of Washington State Patrol Trooper Tony Radulescu, who was killed in the line of duty early on Feb. 23.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business Thursday or first thing Friday morning, March 2.

Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.

A memorial service in honor of Trooper Radulescu’s life and service to the citizens of the state of Washington will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at the ShoWare Center in Kent, located at 625 W. James St.
