Fifth Annual WWU Give Day set for May 28; Will Help Students in Need

Faculty and staff are invited to join us on Thursday, May 28 for our Fifth Annual WWU Give Day. This one-day online giving event, fittingly themed We Care, has taken on a new level of importance. Many students who struggled to afford college before the pandemic are now among the most at risk. This WWU Give Day, let’s come together as a community to protect their dreams and help secure their futures.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Plan to make your gift next Thursday, May 28

  • Encourage others to support our students by becoming an ambassador at wwugiveday.com

Since the pandemic began, Western students have applied for more than $200,000 in aid. Our Student Emergency Fund and federal funding are simply not enough to meet this need. Last year, we raised more than $730,000 in gifts and challenge funds from 2,126 donors. If we work together, we can exceed our goals and help every single student in need.

If you are able to help, please consider a gift to support the Student Emergency Fund, scholarships, or the critical needs of your favorite college, team, or program this Give Day. On May 28, find us on the web and on TwitterFacebook, and Instagram, and follow our hashtag #WWUGiveDay. Let’s show how much We Care.
