WWU Rowing takes eighth national title

WWU Rowing overcame a determined charge from Central Okahoma to capture its eighth national championship on Sunday on Lake Mercer in Windsor, New Jersey, capping one of the best years in the history of Viking athletics and marking the first time the program had ever won two team-sport national championships in the same season, after Women's Soccer won in the fall. Thirteen out of 15 programs advanced to the national-tournament level, the most ever. On top of it all, Bethany Drake also captured her second national championship in the javelin over the weekend as well. Be proud, Vikings!
