Trustees approve employment contract for incoming president Sabah Randhawa

Board of Trustees Recap for May 10, 2016

Western’s Board of Trustees on May 10 during a special meeting unanimously approved a five-year employment contract for incoming WWU President Sabah Randhawa.

The contract finalizes Randhawa’s appointment as Western’s 14th president. He will succeed current Western President Bruce Shepard.

Randhawa will begin his duties as the next president of Western on Aug. 1.  Shepard will continue to serve as Western’s president until June 30, and on July 1 will be succeeded by current Provost and Vice President Brent Carbajal as acting president until Aug. 1.
