Local children are invited to gather at Village Books in Fairhaven from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 21 to hear stories from around the world about tolerance, the civil rights movement and diversity in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Western student volunteers will celebrate King’s dream of equality and hope by engaging with children through literature, games and dialog focused on civil rights topics. Community members are encouraged to bring children ages 3 to 8 to Village Books (1200 11 St., Bellingham) any time during the event hours. Parents are welcome to participate.
