Student film, still photo project on display July 1

Students in the photography concentration at Western Washington University will have their work on display in a special show starting July 1 on the ground floor of the Fine Arts building on campus.

The "S&M – Stills and Motion" show is a photography and filmmaking exhibition of work from the summer session "Understanding Light in Photography" course.

Course participants were asked to shoot a 3-minute film on Super 8mm and edited in camera while concurrently documenting the process with still images as a means to reveal, obscure or confound the “truth” shown in the film.

Understanding Light in Photography, Art 497c, is being co-taught by Garth Amundson and Dana Ollestad, with Michaela Patrick as the classroom assistant. Contact them at 360-650-3436 for more information.
