South Korean governor visits Bellingham, Western

Last Thursday, April 18, retired Western Professor of Sociology George Drake and the Western administration hosted a visit from South Korean Governor Kim Moon-Soo and a delegation of Korean dignitaries for a dinner in the Old Main Solarium. Prior to the dinner, Drake and the governor participated in a ceremony at Bellingham's Big Rock Garden Park to honor the Americans who died in the Korean War. The ceremony was also attended by members of the Lummi Nation, Korean War veterans, and other members of the Bellingham community.
