Library art display curated by WWU students

The art exhibit “Notions of Home, Notions of Faraway Places” is in Wilson Library through July 31.

This exhibition results from the intensive work of students in Art History 490, “Exhibition: Theory and Practice.” The students spent spring term studying the ways in which exhibitions communicate ideas to a variety of audiences.

With Western Washington University and Bellingham viewers in mind, students composed the exhibition from works they researched throughout the term, chosen from art collections here at WWU.

The student-curated exhibition of nearly 30 pieces starts in Gallery One (“Introduction”) and continues upstairs in Gallerery Two (”Journeys”) and Gallery Three (“Dwelling in Experience” and “You are Here.”).
