Earth Week events begin April 18

A week of Earth Day celebrations at Western Washington University begins next week.

The week, put on by the Associated Students Environmental and Sustainability Programs and the WWU Office of Sustainability, begins Monday with a discussion on the gender gap in agriculture and ends Saturday with a cleanup event at Little Squalicum Park. An annual highlight of the week, the Earth Day Festival, will take place from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 22, in the Performing Arts Center Plaza.
