‘Commedia in the Park’ returns July 18 – 20

Western Washington University Department of Theatre and Dance presents “Commedia in the Park” directed by Rich Brown, at 6 p.m. on July 18-20 in Maritime Heritage Park located at 500 W. Holly Street in Bellingham.

The show is free and open to the public.

Commedia was born in the streets and markets of the 16th Century as theatre for the people. The absurd characters and their low comedy still enchant and delight humans of the 21st century. Quacks, cowardly captains, and tricky servants in delightfully bizarre masks dissect current events with broad physical comedy.

Commedia in the Park is the first production of the 2019 Western Summer Theatre Season. For additional information, please call the WWU Department of Theatre and Dance at (360) 650-3876, or visit www.cfpa.wwu.edu/wst.
