Annual holiday party is Friday, Dec. 6

The Season of Giving campus holiday celebration is set for 3 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, in the Viking Union Multipurpose Room at Western Washington University.

Bruce and Cyndie Shepard, WWU's president and first lady, invite all faculty and staff to attend.

Sweet and savory holiday refreshments will be served.

Scheduled festivities:

• 50/50 Drawing: Tickets: $1 each, at event. 50% of proceeds benefit: WWU Employee Distinguished Scholarship. Remaining 50% will be given to winning ticket holder. Winner need not be present to win.
• Food Drive: Benefits Bellingham Food Bank. Bring only non-perishable foods.
• Pet Food Drive: Benefits the Whatcom Humane Society
• Food donations are being accepted early. They will be collected prior to event and can be deposited in barrels located on the sixth floor of the Viking Union beginning Nov. 20 or at the MPR on the day of the event.

Parking enforcement will be suspended in all lots from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 6. Not valid in reserved, disability or metered parking spaces.
