"Fall into Dance" tonight (and through Saturday) at the PAC

Western Washington University’s Department of Theatre and Dance presents “Fall Into Dance” at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 1-3, in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) Mainstage Theater.
A feast for the senses, “Fall Into Dance” is comprised of new choreographic works that run the gamut from lush romanticism to avant-garde.

“It is as if the spirits of Victor Hugo and Salvador Dali took hands and agreed to come back to earth and are now whispering into the ears of this group of talented young choreographers,” said Western Professor of Dance Nolan Dennett.

The music of Rachmaninoff, Bessie Smith, Phillip Glass and Kronos String Quartet indicates the scope and diversity of the six new works created by Hanna Hoffman, Leah Koski, Lily Orrey, Nick Van Daren, and Nolan Dennett.  Lighting designs by Theatre and Dance students, mentored by associate professor J Wiese, add an additional spark of professionalism to this diverse and compelling evening of time-based art.
