Faculty, staff flu-shot clinic continues Oct. 7

The fall flu shot clinic from the new Wise & Well U program at Western Washington University is taking place again on Wednesday, Oct. 7, in Viking Union Room 565. Shots will be available between noon and 5 p.m.

An annual flu vaccination is recommended by the Centers for Disease Control for anyone age six months or older, and Western wants its faculty and staff to stay healthy during this upcoming flu season.

Those who haven't made an appointment needn't worry. The Rite-Aid pharmacists will be taking walk-ins in addition to those employees who have appointments.

Employees covered by the Uniform Medical Plan or the Group Health Classic or Value plan can get teh shot at no cost. They will just need to provide their ID card to the on-site pharmacist providing the flu shot. For those paying out of pocket, the price is discounted to $20 (cash or check).
