Faculty, staff and alumni can get discounts to The Musical of Musicals at MBT

Western Washington University faculty and staff can get 20-percent discounts, and WWU alumni can get 50-percent discounts, to the first three opening nights of "The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!)" at the Mount Baker Theatre.

The discounts are valid only for the shows on Feb. 10, 11 and 12. These dates also include a special Q&A session with director Mark Kuntz, an associate professor of Theatre Arts, and the show's cast.

As always, tickets for students are just $10.

Discounted tickets are available online at http://bit.ly/BuyRepTickets; type in the code HAMMERSTEIN. Discount tickets also are available by phone or in-person. Just mention that you're a WWU faculty member, staff member or alumnus to get the discount.

The Musical of Musicals is a zippy crowd-pleaser, a melting pot of musical bliss that manipulates the classic “I can't pay the rent!” story in five acts. Each act references, alludes, and parodies the style of different American and British musical theatre composers: Rodgers & Hammerstein (The Sound of Music, Oklahoma!), Stephen Sondheim (Sweeney Todd, A Funny Thing Happened…), Jerry Herman (Mame, Hello, Dolly!), Andrew Lloyd Webber (The Phantom of the Opera, Cats), and Kander & Ebb (Chicago, Cabaret).

Regular ticket prices are $20 for adults and $10 for students with student I.D., plus applicable fees. For more information, visit the Mount Baker Theatre's Web site.
