Jason Kanov (Management) makes presentations

Jason Kanov (Management) presented the paper “A Practice-based view of the sustainable expression of compassion in low-wage work,” co-authored with Monica Worline (Emory University), Jacoba Lilius (Queen’s University of Canada), Jane Dutton (University of Michigan), Sally Maitlis (University of British Columbia) and Peter Frost (dec., formerly of University of British Columbia) in the symposium “Organizational behavior and the working poor” at the 2009 annual meeting of the Academy of Management, held in Chicago from Aug. 7 to 11.

At the same meeting, Kanov also presented the symposium “Compassion in organizations and compassionate  questions in organizational scholarship,” with Andre Avramchuk (Fielding Graduate University), Richard Boyatzis (Case Western Reserve University), Kim Cameron (University of Michigan), Jacoba Lilius (Queen’s University of Canada) and Robert Quinn (University of Michigan). This latter session was named the Management Education and Development Division Global Forum Best Symposium.
