'Dreamland' exhibition takes over WWU's Western Gallery March 8 to 18

"Dreamland," a collaborative exhibition of American artwork from the Western Collection, will show in the Western Gallery on Western Washington University’s campus from March 8 to 18.

The exhibition is free and open to the public.

"Dreamland" is designed to engage its audience by tantalizing them with images of "American" dreams and sexuality. Curated by WWU fine-arts students studying exhibition theory, the show is taken from concepts and collaboration with "US," a theatre production performed and conceived by the WWU Department of Theatre and Dance. The departments of visual and performing arts have come together to create this exhibition of selected works from Western’s extensive art collection.

An opening reception for the exhibition will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, in the Western Gallery.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for Wednesdays when the gallery is open until 8 p.m., and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
