Dominos Pizza to help raise money for Compass 2 Campus at WWU

Dominos Pizza is working with Compass 2 Campus at Western Washington University to offer customers the opportunity to help local kids while enjoying pizza.

Dominos is handing out gift certificates good for one large pizza with any toppings, and the customer will pay what they feel the value of the pizza is – and that money will go straight to Compass 2 Campus. Customers must redeem the certificates at the Dominos store at 402 36th St. in Bellingham (Sehome Village Shopping Center) from Sept. 24 to 27. Domino’s also will donate 10 percent of any other purchases by people redeeming certificates on those days. Dominos will be passing out 250 gift certificates each day of the Information Fair Sept. 24 to 25 in Western’s Red Square.

In addition, the first 50 customers each day from Sept. 24 to 27 who ask for the “Compass 2 Campus Special” will receive the same as promotion as people with the certificates. Dominos also will donate 10 percent of any other purchases those customers make on those days.

“I would like to thank Dominos for their generosity that truly will help children in Whatcom and Skagit counties,” said Compass 2 Campus director Cyndie Shepard.

The Compass 2 Campus program at Western’s Woodring College of Education is a proactive effort that sends hundreds of trained WWU student mentors into area schools in order to get more kids to see themselves as future college students. It focuses on students from traditionally underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds.
