Designer and advocate Justin Kemerling to speak at WWU May 12

Western Washington University’s Department of Design will present a talk by graphic designer Justin Kemerling at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 12, in Academic Instructional Center West Room 210.

The talk is free and open to the public.

Kemerling focuses on collaborative projects from his office in Omaha, Neb. His practice is as much about art, community, activism, citizenship, entrepreneurship and strategy as it is graphic design. His expertise includes brand partnerships, websites and integrated/multi-channel campaigns. In addition to AIGA awards and recognition by Communication Arts, he's been featured on Change Observer, interviewed on The Reflex Blue Show and was recent recipient of the Milo Mumgaard Emerging Leader Award for utilizing design to inspire social change.
