Dead Parrots to perform in NYC

Western Washington University's nationally ranked improvisational comedy team, the Dead Parrots Society, is heading to New York City to perform in the Del Close Marathon, a weekend-long improv festival that features improv groups from all over the country.

The festival, which is hosted by the Upright Citizens Brigade, an improvisational theatre, will run from Friday, June 27, to Sunday, June 29. The Parrots will be performing from 1:45 to 2 p.m. PST on Saturday at Urban Stages Theatre.

Dead Parrots Society was one of the 500 teams to be chosen out of the 1,500 submissions from groups throukghout the country. Also performing in the festival are many prominent UCB alumni, such as Amy Poehler, Matt Besser and Sasheer Zamata from “Saturday Night Live.”
