Creative Commons' director of global learning to deliver free webinar Oct. 14

Cable Green, director of global learning at Creative Commons, will present a free webinar for Western Washington University from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, in Viking Union Room 567.

The campus community is welcome to tune in to this web presentation and enjoy refreshments, sponsored by CIIA and Extended Education.

Green will discuss how the Internet, increasingly affordable computing, open licensing, open access journals, and open educational resources provide the foundation for a world in which a quality education can be a basic human right. He will discuss specific examples where institution, provinces / states and nations have built effective business cases for OER. He will also explore how to build effective teams for institution-wide OER projects.
