Garcia to present free management webinar Oct. 30

Western Washington University Professor Joseph E. Garcia plans to present a free webinar from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30. The professional development webinar will be presented by the OBTS Teaching Society for Management Educators.

Garcia, the Bowman Distinguished Professor of Leadership Studies and director of the Karen W. Morse Institute for Leadership at WWU, will share some ideas about furthering our thinking, understanding and enacting ways of leading that brings out the best in who otherwise might be unlikely partners. We already live in a multi-cultural world and leaders in business, government, non-profit and other organizations find themselves leading heterogeneous/multi-cultural teams with skills that are more appropriate for homogenous teams. Garcia also plans to engage in a conversation on how management educators can re-form their curriculum and further their own capacity to address this topic.

Sign up for the free webinar at http://www.obtc.org/webinars. You'll get a reminder e-mail a few days before the session.
