Brunnemer named to become associate registrar

David Brunnemer, the director of the Western Washington University Office of Disability Resources, will be taking on the role of associate registrar in addition to his current duties, WWU Registrar Susanna Yunker has announced.

Over the course of this year, Brunnemer will gradually assume these new duties as he ensures that staff members are trained and able to provide the services necessary to ensure the continued success of students served by Disability Resources, Yunker said.

"Through reallocation salary savings and restructure of job responsibilities, we will be able to maximize our ability for direct delivery of services to the increasing number of students seeking services through the office in a cost-effective manner," Yunker said.

Jana Brost and Anna Talvi will work with students on an interim basis while the office seeks to fill the positions on a permanent basis.

"David brings a wealth of experience to the Registrar’s Office and will provide us with leadership in developing a student-centered approach to service delivery," Yunker said. "I will remain in the role of registrar, continuing to split my time between that position and my responsibilities as assistant vice president for Student Affairs."
