Committee to examine campus parking issues

Western’s Parking and Transportation Advisory Committee (PTAC) has begun its work and will be meeting for the next several months.

There will be at least one “town hall” type meeting for anyone interested in providing information or wishing to pose questions to the committee. The date, time and location of that meeting will be announced soon.

The committee will advise the Vice President for Business and Financial Affairs on parking issues that include current challenges and future needs to provide sufficient, sustainable and accessible parking for faculty, staff, students and visitors while balancing those needs with alternative transportation goals.

The committee and associated sub-subcommittees will examine parking fees, review parking policies, conduct a review of Parking Services financials and develop a communications plan for improving the flow of information to and from Parking Services and the campus community.
