CBE to honor student leaders in Bellevue April 22

Western Washington University’s College of Business and Economics nominated and chose six students to participate in the Leadership Lunch sponsored by Unigard Insurance Group of Bellevue on Friday, April 22.

The quarterly CBE Leadership Lunch recognizes students who distinguish themselves through scholarship and leadership while enrolled in the College of Business and Economics. Students are nominated by faculty in their respective departments.

Selected students include: Devin Schemm of Kent, Accounting; Anna Pinotti of Dallas, Ore., Decision Sciences; Hanna Moran of Sammamish, Finance and Marketing; Jayson Westover of Albuquerque, N.M., Economics; Alycia Bazar of Poulsbo, Management; and Stanislav Zinkov of Bellingham, of the Accelerated Master’s in Business Administration program.

The students will be joined at the lunch by several Unigard business executives and four CBE faculty members. At the lunch, students will meet with business leaders to discuss organizational leadership and career development. The lunch provides an opportunity for business professionals to contribute to CBE’s educational mission, plus affords interaction with students and faculty.

The lunch is organized by the Center for Excellence in Management Education at CBE, which provides a variety of programs designed to connect business and industry leaders with faculty and students to promote business and economics education.
