Candidates for Honors Program director to present April 7 to 10

Final candidates for director of the Western Washington University Honors Program will take part in university-wide open forums April 7 to 10.

Western faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the presentations, all of which will take place at 4 p.m. in SMATE Room 140. The presentations also will be videotaped, with links available on the Provost's website after the events.

The final candidates, listed below in order of their presentation, are vying to fill the position vacated by the retirement of George Mariz.

  • Tuesday, April 7: Spencer Anthony-Cahill, a professor of biochemistry in the WWU Chemistry Department
  • Wednesday, April 8: Scott Linneman, a professor of geology and science education in the WWU Geology Department
  • Thursday, April 9: Dawn Dietrich, an associate professor of English in the WWU English Department and director of the Western Reads Program
  • Friday, April 10: David Patrick, a professor of analytical, materials and physical chemistry in the WWU Chemistry Department
