BPRI roundtable on post-Roe reproductive rights to be held April 25 in Canada House

Join WWU Postdoctoral Fellow Andréanne Bissonnette (Border Policy Research Institute), Mary Hunt (Health and Human Development), and Jen Seltz (History) for a roundtable discussion at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 in the Canada House conference room about their research into the history, politics, and public health impacts of reproductive rights and policies in North America.

Critical and cross-disciplinary perspectives of these issues have become especially urgent since the 2022 Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade and threatens abortion access in many parts of the United States, including borderland communities.

The panelist conversation, moderated by Vicki Hsueh (Political Science), will be followed by a brief Q&A from the audience. Students, faculty, staff, and community members interested in learning more from these faculty experts all welcome.
