AUAP students to perform talent showcase Feb. 2

The Asia University America Program at Western Washington University will hold a talent showcase from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, in the Viking Union Multipurpose Room on campus.

The showcase is an evening of performances prepared by AUAP and WWU students together. The students begin practicing early, with some even meeting before Christmas. Performances range from Beatles cover bands, to dances set to Korean pop music (“K-pop”), to traditional Japanese pieces. Whichever the medium, students have proven themselves unmatched when it comes to enthusiasm for their projects.

This event is free and open to the public.

The AUAP is an English language and cultural orientation program that offers students from Asia University in Tokyo an opportunity for a five-month study abroad at WWU. The goal of the program is to provide Asia University students with high quality English language instruction and culturally enriching extracurricular activities, while at the same time offering WWU students, faculty and staff unique opportunities for language and cultural interaction, exchange and involvement.
