Ask! program connects students to career mentors

The Western Washington University Alumni Association's Ask! program connects students to future careers. The program features more than 600 mentors -- all of them WWU alumni -- who offer advice to current students looking to break in to particular industries.

They ask that faculty pass on info about the program to their students. More:

We know faculty and staff are doing all you can in and out of the classroom to help your students prepare for life after college and have a fulfilling career. As you know, landing the job they want and building a successful career isn’t just about what they know, it’s about who they know. That’s why the Alumni Association created the Ask! program. Make sure your students know they already have a team of successful professionals waiting to connect with them and help build their network for life after Western.

The 600+ mentors in the Ask! program were once WWU students – bright, young and trying to create a career from nothing with limited experience and professional connections. These former students are now working in 42 states and 11 countries, having built on their knowledge gained at Western to lead successful lives. And they want to help other WWU students do the same.

Please help spread the word and encourage your students to join Ask! They can connect with alumni to get career and resume advice, ask about academic related issues, job shadowing opportunities, internships, and potential jobs. Students can search alumni based on their industry, area of study at Western, the city where they live, and much more. Want to help them connect? Tell them to Ask!
