AS to hold environmental club summit Oct. 14

The Associated Students Environmental Center is bringing at least 10 of the environmental clubs on Western’s campus together to collaborate and share plans for the year.

The environmental club summit will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, in Viking Union Room 565.

“Our hope for the event is for all the club members to share with each other what they are up to and their main goals,” said Heather Jeffreys, the Associated Students Environmental Center coordinator. “We want the various clubs to unite as a cohesive environmental community on campus, potentially forming partnerships, putting on events together, continuing to learn from each other and share with the broader campus community.”

The summit is also an event for students to learn about clubs they may want to join, or to share with clubs what environmental issues are important to them.
