Advanced to the NCAA II West/South Central Regional placing 9th out of 12 teams…were the No. 8 seed in the Super Regional played at Brookside Country Club in Stockton, Calif….first time to advance to the NCAA II regionals since 2011…ranked No. 23 in the final GolfStat Division II rankings…placed 2nd at the GNAC Tournament snapping a string of six consecutive conference titles…finished the 36-hole tournament at 57-over-par (625) at Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course…sophomore Jenn Paul was named the GNAC co-Player of the Year for the second straight year and was an WGCA All-West Region selection…led the GNAC with a 75.4 scoring average and finished in the top 10 in 7 of her 9 tournament appearances…final scoring average of 75.47 finished 2nd in the WWU record books trailing only Katja Trygg in 2006 (75.44)…Paul’s 75.89 career scoring average (38 rounds) is currently the best in program history ahead of Trygg (78.48 in 90 rounds)…in the GolfStat final rankings was 10th in the region and 33rd in NCAA II…was the individual medalist at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout (March 7-8) posting a 36-hole score of 1-under-par 143…became the first Viking to win a regular season tournament since Claire Rachor in 2011 at the Sonoma State Invitational and the fifth player in program history to finish a tournament under par, also joining Kristen Hansen (-1) and Brooke Branigan (-2) at the WNMU Fall Invitational Sept. 21-22 in Avondale, AZ…prior to this season only Sophie Elstrott at the Grand Canyon Fall Invitational, Sept. 27-28, 2010 at Coldwater Creek Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz. (1-under par 143) and All-American Katja Trygg (twice in 2005) completed a tournament with score under par…Paul was the highest placing Viking at the GNAC Championships tying for 3rd place…all six team members ranked amongst the top 10 of GNAC scoring leaders…also led the GNAC with a team scoring average of 305.5…Branigan (WNMU Fall Intercollegiate, 2nd round) and Paul (Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout, 2nd round) turned in GNAC low rounds of 69, tying the lowest rounds in WWU history (6th time)…freshman Hannah Drake turned in the best performance at the NCAA II West/South Central Super Region finishing tied for 18th (+7,223)…senior Kristen Hansen earned first-team All-GNAC honors for the fourth time in her career…she ended her career with a school record 135 birdies, breaking the old mark of 128 by Rachor (2010-13)…junior Audrey Orem was a first-team All-GNAC selection after garnering secondteam honors as a freshman and sophomore…team earned back-to-back second-place finishes at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout (March 7-8) and Otter Invitational (March 21-22)…posted the lowest round in program history with a 3-under-par 285 in the second round of the WNMU Fall Intercollegiate at Goldwater Golf Club in Avondale, AZ…finished at 2-under-par (574) in the 36-hole WNMU tournament, the first time in program history to finish with a team score under par…finished the season with an average score of 306.9 (18.95 above par average), breaking the school record (312.04, +22.60 in 2005-06).
