Student team wins ACUI guerrilla video documentary competition
Western student teams of filmmakers took first and second place in the guerrilla video documentary competition at the Association of College Unions International Recreation Tournament at the University of Washington in February.
The competition had students break into four-person film teams, who had 24 hours to shoot, edit and submit a short film or documentary that somehow expressed the theme of "change." The film had to be no more than five minutes.
The competition drew three teams from Western, mostly students involved with KVIK, and one team from Portland Community College.
The two winning films were:
- "Disposition," by Donkey Camp Productions, first place.
- "Severance Package," by The Valiant Effort, second place.
A third WWU team, Triple Threat, produced "Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes."
