Senior Instructor of Dance Susan Haines, one of three artistics directors of It Must Have Been Violet Dance Productions in Seattle, performed her "Duet" at a performance at the Open Flight Studio in the University District in August 2012.

In "Duet," Haines danced in front of a video projection of herself dancing in front of a mirror.

"In a highly intriguing effect, her shadow added a fourth outline to the mix, making what was in reality a solo, often become a quartet of the same figure," wrote Miriko Nagashima in Seattle Dances magazine. "While many movements lined up with the film projection and all featured long stretching lines, it seemed almost stream of conscious. The physical ramblings of the mind looping back on itself in separate stretches of time."
