Faculty from WWU’s Behavioral Neuroscience Program and Biology and Psychology departments gather for quarterly neighborhood round-table discussions about brain science.
“Neuroscience on Tap: Bring Your Own Brain (BYOB)” events are free and typically held in a downtown bar or nightclub. Topics in 2014-15 included:
- “Epigenetics: How Experience Changes Your Genes,” by Blair Duncan, Ph.D., an instructor in Western’s Psychology Department.
- “What Can Flies, Worms and Slugs Tell Us About You? The Squishies and Crunchies of Neuroscience,” by Jackie Rose, an associate professor in Western’s Psychology Department.
