Western Washington University students in the Computer Information System Security program will practice cyberwarfare training in its new CyberRange, thanks to a gift of 50 computer servers from Boeing, Western officials said.

Boeing has given 50 computer servers to Western Washington University for use in its new CyberRange Poulsbo, a virtual environment where students in Western’s Computer Information System Security (CISS) program will practice cyberwarfare training and cyber technology development.

Whatcom Educational Credit Union (WECU) and the Western Washington University Department of Athletics today announced a sponsorship agreement creating “WECU Court at Carver Gymnasium” and establishing a $50,000 annual donation to fund scholarships for WWU student-athletes.
