Annual lowrider show to take place May 15 at WWU

The 11th annual "Riding Low in the 3-6-0" lowrider show will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 15, in the WWU Flag Plaza (in front of the Academic Instruction Center and Communications Facility).

More than 1,500 people attend this event from throughout the region. It is a popular show among the Latino and Chicano communities in the Whatcom and Skagit area. This event is free and open to the public.

The Ridin’ Low in the 3-6-0 Lowrider Show is annual event hosted by MEChA. Roughly 85 cars are expected to participate in the show, which doubles as a festival celebrating the positive lowrider culture.

Local food and craft vendors from throughout Whatcom county will be on hand, and various musical guests will perform.

Various activities for children and adults will be available.
