2,400 new students to visit campus during Summerstart July 30 to Aug. 16

Summerstart, Western Washington University's advising, registration and orientation program for new freshman students, will be held July 30 to Aug. 16 on campus.

Participants register for one of the eight two-day session blocks, and  more than 2,400 new students and 1,550 family members are registered to attend.

The program will feature academic advising and support, class registration, informative workshops and peer-led orientation sessions about Western and campus life. An extensive information fair for students and families to become more familiar with Western's services and resources will be held in the Viking Union Multipurpose Room.
